Candlelight Ceremony

The Bar/Bat Mitzvah Child will say a four-line poem or read a short paragraph for each person and then ask that person to come up and light the corresponding candle.  A different song with special meaning will be played for each candle lit (we can also play any song in the background as they come up if you can’t think of one).  Your photographer will take pictures of each candle being lit for memories! 

This ceremony will require 14 songs for a Bar Mitzvah** and 13 songs for a Bat Mitzvah*, one for each of the persons to be honored, and one for good luck to the Bar/Bat Mitzvah Child.  Please list the person(s) in order to be called up and the corresponding music to be played.  Proper order would be: Great Grand Parents, Grand Parents, Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, Teachers, close Friends of the Family, Friends, Siblings, and Parents last.  You can also group people for a candle.

Displays can be as simple as individual candles with individual candle holders, a stryphoam setup, or even on decorative cakes (as shown below).  The sky is the limit with how advanced the displays can be!
